Composed during 1995 and originally released in 1999, the name 'Manhattan' in the title may not refer to a single geographical location. It may go further, representing a civilisation; or all of civilisation. A listener may consider whether the colours representing the individual movements have significance, and what effect, if any, they have on the music.
